As we have now entered a new financial year, the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Aero Club (KBAC) has had to review aircraft hire rates for the 152 and 172. The existing prices have been in place for nearly 2 years and with rising operating and maintenance costs the club needs to make this adjustment. The following hourly rates as approved by the committee will apply from 1-08-2008.

NOTES: Landing, tower and parking fees applicable at aerodromes other than Kalgoorlie-Boulder will be payable by the hirer.

FUEL: There is a BP “Carnet” [swipe] card with the maintenance release/keys. If fuel is purchased from other aerodromes / suppliers, at rates higher than the bowser price in Kalgoorlie, the price difference including any handling charges is payable by the hirer. Please provide official receipts for any reimbursements. It is the hirers responsibility to pre-plan availability of fuel and to ensure the correct grade and quality is used. It shoulde be notedd that some rural/remote suppliers may require a full 200 litre drum to be purchased. This arrangement will be between hirer and fuel vendor. KBAC will reimburse the hirer at Kalgoorlie-Boulder aerodrome bowser rates for litres-per hour used only, of that time.

AIRCRAFT: Please look after your aircraft, there is oil, windscreen cleaner, rags etc and a vacuum cleaner available. Please ensure that the aircraft is properly secured and all locks in place. CASA, DOTARS, AFP and the airport groundies are prevalent around the airport to ensure this occurs. Please advise myself or any of the committee if you need anything or wish to report a defect or a problem. We are here to help.
